NBC’s website for its Deal or No Deal was the most-visited broadcast network television show website among a custom category of selected shows for the week ended Sept. 29 – a week in which many networks premiered shows for the new season, Hitwise said.
Deal or No Deal received 15.46% of all US visits during the week among the more than 120 TV-show websites from the six leading broadcast networks that were included in the custom category.
Among the top sites:
- ABC’s Dancing with the Stars website received the second-largest percentage of US visits.
- NBC’s Heroes website, which received 9.71% of visits, followed.
- ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy website received 3.51% of visits.
- FOX’s America’s Most Wanted website rounded out the top five visited show sites with 2.70% of visits.
Other data reported by Hitwise:
- NBC.com received the largest market share of US visits, 36.70%, among a custom category of the six broadcast networks for the week ended Sept. 29.
- ABC.com received the second-most visits for the week with 30.41%, followed by CBS.com with 19.08%.
- Among all US internet searches that contained the phrase “season premiere,” the ABC television series, Lost, was the most searched for premiering show for the four weeks ended Sept. 29.
- Lost, which doesn’t premiere until early 2008, received 5.92% of US searches among all the ‘season premiere’ searches.
- The CW Network’s, One Tree Hill, received 1.59% of searches for the week, making it the fourth most-searched-for television series premiere.
- Following searches for One Tree Hill were those for Smallville, Grey’s Anatomy, House, Heroes and CSI.
