The top free iPhone/iPod touch games this week are Eliminate Pro and Real Racing GTI, while the top paid applications are JellyCar 2 and Skeeball, according to the most recent data compiled weekly by FingerGaming, which gathers statistics from the iTunes App store every Thursday (for free apps) and every Monday (for paid apps).

Top Free Game Apps

FingerGaming reports that FPS Eliminate Pro has replaced Firemint’s Real Racing GTI as the App Store’s most downloaded game as of November 5:

  1. Eliminate Pro
  2. Real Racing GTI
  3. World War
  4. Rat on the Run
  5. Super KO Boxing 2 Free
  6. Family Guy: Uncensored Free
  7. Fling Free
  8. Hangman Classic Free
  9. Spikey’s Bounce Around
  10. Link4 Online

Top Paid Apps

In terms of the top-selling paid apps downloaded from the iTunes store, FingerGaming reports that Disney’s JellyCar 2 this week overtook last week’s Skee-Ball. Fling! and Tap Tap Revenge 3 dropped to #3 and #4, while Bejeweled 2 moved up several spots to #5.

Rock Band, at #10, is the only app on the list that costs more than $2.99.

A recent forecast from DFC Intelligence predicts that games for Apple’s iPhone and iPod Touch systems, which will account for 24% of total portable game software sales within five years.
