Searches up 10% YoY to 8.1B in November

The total number of US searches conducted in November 2008 among top providers was nearly 8.1 billion, amounting to nearly 10% overall year-over-year growth, most of which was driven by Google, according to (pdf) search statistics released by Nielsen Online.

Google Search remained at the top of the list, with an estimated estimated 5.2 billion search queries, representing 64.1% of all search queries for the month. Google experienced 21.7% growth over the same period in 2007.

AOL Search and Comcast Search were the only other two major search providers that experienced growth in November.
