Notes: Almost 8 in 10 small businesses surveyed are using data to make smarter decisions and another 8% wish they were, according to a survey from Constant Contact. With the majority feeling that data can help them find new customers (73%), retain existing customers (67%) and improve the customer experience (65%), the survey takes a look at the types of data being used. Leading among those are email marketing reports (83%), followed by website analytics (64%) and social media analytics (64%).

About the Data: The Constant Contact-sponsored survey was administered in October of 2014 to 1200 small business participants in the Constant Contact Small Biz Council ”“ a research panel of US small businesses recruited from the Constant Contact customer base. Results include responses from respondents across a range of business-to-business and business-to-consumer industries.
